FC Barcelona Set to Play First Game at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga over two years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present as per the current authorization. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held a public practice inside the stadium in early November. The club said approval is being pursued by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at the stadium. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
