This young athlete has substantial social media audience

The young golfer can count on multiple well-known supporters as she makes her LPGA debut on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who is connected to Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses multiple international courses and often competes against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she revealed.

Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, told her: "Just don't get nervous."

"He essentially advised me to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.

"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."

As an amateur, the golfer has competed in just three tournaments in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA listings.

However she's able to receive tips from golf legend, in a relationship with Vanessa.

"He represents the greatest golfer globally," Kai expressed.

"And he's a superior person. He told me to go out there, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against several most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

The LPGA mentioned that Kai's presence exposes the sport to different demographics, particularly among younger fans.

The social media influencer maintains a massive following and recently launched her own apparel and wellness company.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
