Feedback online, however, has proven more critical. Several voices have suggested Pantone of being completely "Pantonedeaf." Fashion and trend forecaster Mandy Lee described it as "a let-down." Critics have likened it to coded promotion of problematic concepts seen in popular culture.

I see, hopefully they're blissfully unaware that this isn't the best moment to be explicitly championing pure white... Anyway, how can a regular person not exactly adjacent to a fashion show apply this trend in daily life? My kitchen ceiling is my kitchen ceiling white, is that enough?
